The Division of Engineering Technologies and Computer Sciences encourages interested and qualified students to consider applying for the following scholarships and programs offered by various organizations.
 
 

Gus Anselmi Scholarship for Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Technology
 
$1,500 Gus Anselmi Scholarship is for students who have successfully completed one academic year and will be starting their second year in either Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Technology in the fall of 2010.

Center for Research and Education in Optical Sciences and Applications & Center for Applied Optics in Space Sciences are offering Research Internship Opportunity for Summer 2010.

$500 Scholarship for Engineering Technology Students
 
This scholarship is being offered by the North Jersey Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) in an effort to both encourage students to pursue an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology and to provide tuition financial assistance.

Programs for Graduates
 
The Institute for Broadening Participation would like to announce the following National Science Foundation (NSF) funded programs for graduate students who are studying in the science, mathematics, engineering, and technology (STEM) fields.
 
- The Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) has fellowship and professional development programs at over 150 colleges and universities nationwide for minority students who are studying in the STEM fields.  Visit http://www.agep.us for more details.
 
- The Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) has fellowship programs that offer a $30,000 stipend plus tuition and fees. Over 100 programs nationwide emphasize interdisciplinary studies in science, technology, mathematics, and engineering.  Please visit http://www.igert.org for more details.

The Collegiate Inventors Competition

Up to 12 finalists will win an all-expenses paid trip in Fall 2009 to present their work to a panel of expert judges. Each finalist or finalist team will also receive $2000. One Undergraduate and one Graduate winner or team will each receive $15,000. One Grand Prize winner or team will receive $25,000. Academic advisors of each winning team also receive a cash award.

National Association of Black Journalists

William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship for Minority Students

The Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI) in Washington, DC, offers the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship three times annually.  The fellowship, which is based on academic excellence and need, is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of color. The Hearst Fellow serves as an intern with PSI.  Through this fellowship, PSI seeks to introduce a diverse group of students to issues and challenges affecting philanthropy, social enterprise, nonprofit organizations, and other actors in the social sector.  Recipients may arrange with their colleges or universities to receive academic credit for this experience.

The Roothbert Fund Scholarships Program

The Roothbert Fund was created in 1958 by Albert and Toni Roothbert to help men and women in need of financial aid to further their education. The principal focus of The Fund is its Scholarships Program, through which it makes grants for undergraduate or graduate study at accredited colleges or universities. Siemens Merit Scholarship

Each Siemens Merit Scholarship stipend is $6,000 ($1,500 per year).  This stipend is distributed each year for up to four years of college undergraduate study or until baccalaureate degree requirements are completed, whichever comes first.  The winners' annual stipend will not be affected by other scholarship aid or by approved change in college.
